Plastic Surgery 🚀Trend Report: Face and Fat

Plastic Surgery Trend Report- Face and Fat

It’s halfway through 2017 and we sat down with our very own board-certified Dr. Paul Wigoda, plastic surgeon extraordinaire to get the inside scoop on what insides people are scooping out this year.

Retro is Coming to Plastic Surgery

Dr. Wigoda tells us that “the biggest trend has to do with fat – fat transfers.” That’s right, the biggest trend in 2017 is a throwback from the 90’s. But don’t just take this award winning doctor’s word for it. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the rate of plastic surgery procedures is up three percent over the last year. The biggest areas of growth are facelifts and fat transfers.

The ASPS even breaks down the numbers for us:

  • Fat injections that are considered minimally invasive are up 13%
  • Fat transfers to augment the butt are up 26%
  • Fat transfers to augment the breasts are up 72%

Bringing Sexy Back

Where have we heard of fat transfers before? Well, back in the 90s, fat transfers were heralded as the Next Big Thing. But the procedure was ahead of its time, and hadn’t yet been perfected. Imperfect technique leads to fat hardening and forming lumps, which as we all know is very scary. Now, twenty years later, the procedure is back and much improved.

From Flabulous to Fabulous

Fat transfers involve taking fat from a problem area that a patient doesn’t want it, and reintroducing it to the body in an area where it would be more desirable, particularly to rejuvenate or round out areas of the body. Sometimes people aren’t even aware of the option. “I have a lot of patients coming in for liposuction that don’t really know about fat transfers, who have never even thought about it.” Dr. Wigoda tells us.

This is totally common – you can’t be expected to keep up with the latest procedures, that’s why we have doctors!

If belly or thigh fat is bothering you, as it bothers a lot of Dr. Wigoda’s patients, he can turn that problem into a solution. “We can take that fat that we take out and transfer it – usually to the butt.” It also minimizes waste, and who doesn’t want to be able to brag about recycling in the year 2017?!

Put Your Best Face Forward

Have you ever seen an adorable chubby little baby face? Of course you have. And you, like every other warm-blooded person on the planet, probably wanted to pinch those plump little cheeks.

As we get older, our faces tend to smooth out in shape. This is because we lose facial fat as we age. That’s one of the reasons why so many people get chemical filler elements in their faces to look more youthful – really what they are trying to do is replace that facial fat loss.

Why not do it with the real thing? Facial fat transfers are becoming more and more popular because a patient can now replace their lost fat with other natural fat from another part of their body. This avoids expensive and unnatural chemical fillers that have to be replaced every few years regardless. “We’re a lot more successful now at transferring the fat and having the fat stay basically forever than we were even a few years ago.” Dr. Wigoda tells us, underlining how much the procedure has improved and how much longer a fat transfer can last than fillers.

Also, fat can naturally rejuvenate the skin in your face, which can give a much more authentic youthful look that lasts longer than chemical fillers would. This combines well with a facelift, and Dr. Wigoda finds that having a fat transfer as part of the process “rejuvenates the face much more than just doing a traditional facelift.”

Breast Implant Tip: When It’s Painless, the Pleasure Really Is All Yours!

dr wigoda painless implants kimmy b interview (3)

We sat down with Hits 97.3 DJ Kimmy B and board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Paul Wigoda to debunk “No Pain – No Gain” when it comes to boob jobs. We’ve all heard it, but how much better would it be if you could get all the gain and none of the pain?!

Where is a girl even going to start though? There’s so much information out there, so many doctors and options. We asked Kimmy B to take us through it.

The Painless Breast Implant Patient Down Low

“Unless you know people that have had, you know, breast augmentation – I came for painless breast implants – there’s definitely different ways to go about doing breast implants.” Kimmy B tells us, and you know our girl did her homework. She starts excitedly talking about all the awesome benefits of her painless breast implants and boy are there a lot of benefits! Lucky for us, we’ve got the Doctor himself in the room to walk us through them!

As she said, “I came to get my boobies done painlessly,” and Dr. Wigoda is here to clearly explain how his painless breast implants process really sets him apart. It all comes down to trauma – and as Chief of Plastic Surgery at a Level 1 Trauma Center, he is imminently qualified to handle trauma.

No Trauma No Drama

“The way I do it is a lot less traumatic and that’s the reason my breast augmentation procedure is painless. Patients generally don’t lose any blood when I do the plastic surgery, so they have no swelling afterwards, they have no bruising, and all of that reduces the pain.” Don’t just believe him though – take a trip down Kimmy B’s Instagram and check out her #WigodasOnFleek – she was on the red carpet only days after getting them done. Talk about no pain and all the gain!

Dr. Wigoda’s calm, thorough approach makes it so easy to see why Kimmy B picked him. As she says, “it is a surgical procedure and it is your body, so definitely go to somebody who takes the time to make you feel comfortable.” We couldn’t agree more, and we’re starting to see that Dr. Wigoda makes it painless before you’ve even decided to get the procedure.

Myth Bust-ed

A painless breast implant procedure is all well and good, but we have all heard that you need to get them replaced every ten years or so. Will that part hurt? Dr. Wigoda sets us straight, busting this myth wide open. We love a doctor who isn’t trying to squeeze his patients for every dollar, and we can see why Kimmy B put her trust right here.

It’s not too late to put yourself on fleek this summer – let Dr. Wigoda show you that the painless breast implant procedure can be just as painless as the free breast implant consultation!

Botox for Migraines: Kimmy B’s Incredible Injectable Adventure

kimmy b botox for migraines

Trading in your Advil for Botox? Yes, please. Now you can see the light without the migraine pain thanks to Botox.

Are you one of those people shoveling ibuprofen down your throat and squinting your eyes in pain as your head wildly pounds? You may be one of the 37 million Americans that suffer from migraines. Lucky for you, board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Paul Wigoda and celebrity Hits 97.3 DJ Kimmy B. share insight and solutions to get you some migraine relief.

We followed Kimmy B on her journey to get her painless breast implants, to which she poignantly called her #wigodas! Now, we check back up on her newest painless adventure, Botox for migraines! We caught up with her and Dr. Wigoda after their Botox session to ask some of the most pressing questions about Botox.

“Botox has been so beneficial to me as far as migraines go!” Kimmy B says, and adds how she also loves how amazing it makes her look!

Botox: A Crash Course

As always, it’s important to learn all you can about any procedure before you jump right into it. Let’s tell you a little about what botox is before we tell you all of the awesome ways it can help stop those pesky migraines.

“Kimmy B comes in primarily for migraines, but the Botox also helps with wrinkles,” Dr. Wigoda tells us as he prepares for the procedure.

As seen on Dr. Wigoda’s website, Botox is “a therapeutic muscle-relaxing agent that works at motor nerve endings (nerves that lead to muscles). It is in a class of drugs called neurotoxins.” It is administered through one or multiple shots into the muscle at different points in the patient’s body, depending on what it is being used to treat.

Other important tips to know about Botox are that you usually don’t see the effects up until three days after your procedure. Furthermore, a Botox session will last between three-to-six months. Botox to get rid of headaches will often be re-administered every three months. Don’t worry though, a session usually only lasts 10-to-15 minutes! Plenty of time to get rid of those headaches and then take the day by storm.

Benefits To Botox?

Now that we know the “in’s and out’s” of what Botox is, let’s look at some of the benefits patients are getting out of it and just how popular this cosmetic surgery treatment technique has become:

  • According to the official Botox website, BOTOX prevents on average eight-to-nine headache, migraine, and/or probable migraine days a month.
  • 100,000 people with Chronic Migraine have been treated with BOTOX since the FDA approval in 2010, with that number rapidly increasing!
  • Botox treatments can help reduce symptoms of migraine headaches, including nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to lights, sounds, and smells.

Bye, Bye Migraines, The Kimmy B Botox Way

Migraines are a debilitating experience, but they don’t have to be. Book a Botox appointment today and you can get $50 off your first Botox appointment with Dr. Paul Wigoda! If you are ready to make a positive change and get rid of your own migraines, just like Kimmy B, then contact Dr. Wigoda for a free Botox consultation.

Plastic Surgery: Rhinoplasty Patient Shares Her Journey On Instagram

Rhinoplasty patient opens up about the process of plastic surgery.

Jenny knew she wanted a nose job (otherwise known as rhinoplasty) before she was even a teenager. The 26-year-old healthcare professional from Miami decided after graduating college that she now had time to have the procedure. While she was hesitant to share details of other plastic surgery encounters she’d had previously, this time around she wants to share her story and help others who might be seeking similar procedures.

How One Patient Shares Searched and Found Her Answers Using Instagram

Jenny’s Rhinoplasty Plastic Surgeon Search

Jenny started her plastic surgery research where most people do, on Google. And in Miami, there are a lot of “plastic surgeons near me.”

She filtered them through by thoroughly looking at websites, researching if plastic surgeons were board certified and scouting for reviews of the surgeons.

She finally landed on Paul Wigoda, MD, who has been named one of America’s top surgeons by the Consumer Research Council of America, and who prides himself on pioneering the technique ‘painless breast implants.’

While she had a plastic surgery consultation with a plastic surgeon when she was a teen, Jenny wasn’t quite ready to take the leap at a young age. This time around, her only plastic surgery consultation was with Dr. Wigoda himself.

Instagram and Plastic Surgery

During her quest to seek plastic surgery, Jenny would look up hashtags on Instagram like #rhinoplasty or #nosejob. She searched out stories from real experiences to understand what the process would be like.

“As I did my searches for plastic surgeons, I also looked for, you know, real-life experience, with you know, having a rhinoplasty, and that’s how I ended up on Instagram because I would just search by hashtags.

She wanted to know what she was getting herself into. And she did. Pages with people sharing their stories of bruises and blood – the ugly side of plastic surgery – showed up in her searches. “It’s not a simple before and after,” she said.

And that’s what inspired Jenny to share her own process on her own Instagram feed. She even started a countdown before the rhinoplasty.

“I was hesitant about it because my nose was always my biggest insecurity…but I’m like, you know what this nose is going to be gone very soon so let’s do this,” she said about deciding to share her rhinoplasty plastic surgery journey on social media.

Jenny previously had a breast augmentation, but never discussed her procedure. “Although I never discussed it, there were some people that noticed, and they would actually ask me about it behind the scenes.”

Before, During, + After Rhinoplasty

This is what convinced Jenny to start talking about the good, the bad, and the ugly about her rhinoplasty. She wanted to be a source of knowledge and experience people could go to if they had questions. She wanted to give back like other Instagrammers had done for her when she was curious of the truth behind a “nose job.”

The Before

Dr. Wigoda kept her in the loop about everything.

While she doesn’t like needles, Jenny said she always felt safe.

“I was in good hands, I felt comfortable. Scared, but comfortable.”

And Dr. Wigoda prepped her for the after too – like keeping frozen peas around.

The After

Jenny didn’t have any pain, just discomfort. Her bruising went away quickly, and other than occasionally waking up, she was able to sleep.

“It was a rough recovery but they gave me everything I needed to make it as smooth as possible,” Jenny said about Dr. Wigoda.

Her cast came off eight days after surgery.

“Once that cast comes off on day eight, I was like here we go, like nothing happened. So it was nice, it was nice to just be able to go back to work and people weren’t like, “Hey what happened to you?” Jenny said.

Her Advice to You

Do a lot of thorough research. That’s Jenny’s number one advice.

Living in Miami, she said she hears a lot of stories of surgeries going wrong. She advises to not go to a doctor just because you hear a lot about them and instead rely on your own independent research.
She also advises making sure the plastic surgeon is board-certified and qualified.

Her last piece of advice is to seek out any bad reviews of doctors, especially if those reviews concern safety. She said she purposefully looked for bad reviews of Dr. Wigoda, but never found anything that jumped out at her.

Plastic surgery is a controversial subject that most people feel uncomfortable talking about. But with the rise of social media and people like Jenny sharing their plastic surgery stories, it’s easier and easier to understand that these procedures are safe and life changing so that everyone can feel beautiful in their own skin.

10 Most Popular Plastic Surgery Procedures

top 10 plastic surgery procedures dr wigoda

Want to know what plastic surgery procedures people are obsessed with this year?

Dr. Paul Wigoda and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) are both seeing a rise in the focus of face and fat. In a recent report and a video interview with Dr. Wigoda, there is a significant demand in patients wanting to use their own fat to sculpt and chisel away lines, wrinkles, and imperfections.

Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Wigoda stated in January via a Facebook Live video that the biggest trend this year in plastic surgery is fat transfers. He went on to say, “We are a lot more successful in transferring the unwanted fat to another part of the body, like the buttock area, and stay basically forever.” Watch for more of Dr. Wigoda’s forecast on the top plastic surgery trends this year:

A just released ASPS report revealed a trend in recycling unwanted fat for minimally invasive procedures, butt augmentation, and breast augmentation.

Here’s how fat injections and fat grafting works

“Plastic surgeons harvest a patient’s unwanted fat from their abdomen using liposuction and then inject it to lift and rejuvenate other areas such as the face, buttock and even the breast,” said ASPS President Debra Johnson, MD. “Because the material injected is the patient’s own fat the results typically last longer than fillers.”

  • Minimally invasive cosmetic fat injections increased 13%
  • Buttock augmentation using fat grafting increased 26%
  • Breast augmentation using fat grafting increased 72%

Top 5 Cosmetic Surgical and Minimally-Invasive Procedures

Of the nearly 1.8 million cosmetic surgical procedures performed in 2016, the top 5 were:

  1. Breast augmentation (290,467 procedures, up 4 percent from 2015)
  2. Liposuction (235,237 procedures, up 6 percent from 2015)
  3. Nose reshaping (223,018 procedures, up 2 percent from 2015)
  4. Eyelid surgery (209,020 procedures, up 2 percent from 2015)
  5. Facelifts (131,106 procedures, up 4 percent from 2015)

Top 5 Cosmetic Surgical Procedures in 2016 Stats from ASPS

Among the 15.5 million cosmetic minimally-invasive procedures performed in 2016, the top 5 were:

  1. Botulinum Toxin Type A (7 million procedures, up 4 percent from 2015)
  2. Soft Tissue Fillers (2.6 million procedures, up 2 percent from 2015)
  3. Chemical Peel (1.36 million procedures, up 4 percent since 2015)
  4. Laser hair removal (1.1 million procedures, down 1 percent from 2015)
  5. Microdermabrasion (775,000 procedures, down 3 percent from 2015)

11 Ways Botox Can Change Your Life

botox ft lauderdale miami

When Dr. Paul Wigoda opened up Time Magazine’s cover story article, How Botox Became the Drug That’s Treating Everything, he was not surprised to read more on how Botox can change your life.

Wigoda is a board-certified plastic surgeon known for his signature painless breast implants and also renown for his patient safety and education. He is based in Fort Lauderdale where the fight against anti-aging is serious. While Botox is best known for its wrinkle smoothing and reducing powers, many are not aware of the full potential of Botox.

Botox History

botox breakthrough history timeline ft lauderdale dr wigoda1820’s

Botox first discovered by Dr. Justinus Kerner when he was trying to figure out the cause of death by Germans who had all consumed sausage. The cause of death was determined to be food-borne botulinum toxin.

1940’s

The United States attempted to use this poison as a weapon to take out enemies in World War 2

1950’s

Dr. Edward Chantz purified the Botox into a crystalline form and this started the basis for the safe form of Botox for Cosmetics used today.
Then a breakthrough came by Dr. Vernon Brooks when he discovered small amounts of Botox could be used to temporarily relax the muscles by blocking the release of acetylcholine from motor nerve endings.

1978-1989

Doctors began studying the positive uses of Botox in ophthalmology and also cosmetic benefits. Botox proved to reverse the effects of cross eyes, lazy eyes, facial spasms and even vocal chord spasms. When the signs of diminishing frown lines began to surface with the use of doctors, the cosmetic and anti-aging use of Botox started to blossom with possibilities.

2002

After years of clinical trials, the FDA approved Botox Cosmetic, botulinum A toxin for its use in the temporarily improvement of forehead wrinkles, lines, crow’s feet aka the appearance of moderate-to-severe glabellar lines.

2004

Botox was approved by FDA to treat excessive sweating of under arms

2010

Botox was approved by FDA to treat chronic headaches

2013

The FDA announced Botox is approved for the use of overactive bladders

2017

Today Botox is the #1 minimally invasive surgical procedure according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons ahead of lipo and nose reshaping.

Is Botox safe?

“If you are getting your Cosmetic Botox injections from a reputable doctor who is trained and a board certified plastic surgeon, Botox is safe and effective,” said Wigoda. “The other FDA approved and not yet approved uses of Botox are also excellent ways to treat problems and also should be administered only by a physician that has experience in that particular Botox specialization.

So what’s the big Botox deal today?

Botox has outgrown it’s original bad reputation of death and destruction. Thanks to scientific innovation, today Botox has many healthful and cosmetic uses.

FDA Approved

  1. Migraines – Headaches are bad but migraines can ruin your day, night or even several days. Patients who receive Botox injections report less headaches and stress. Whether this is a placebo effect or not is still to be determined. Bottom line is it works!
  2. Excessive Underarm Sweating – the embarrassing problem of sweaty armpits is reminiscent of the preteen days bit for some it’s a real issue beyond junior high. This is an embarrassing disorder that leads to know self esteem and confidence in social settings. Thanks to Botox, people who suffer from excessive armpit sweating saw a 75% reduction in sweat production in four weeks after the injection.
  3. Overactive Bladder – “Clinical studies have demonstrated Botox’s ability to significantly reduce the frequency of urinary incontinence,” said Hylton V. Joffe, M.D., director of the Division of Reproductive and Urologic Products in FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research. “Today’s approval provides an important additional treatment option for patients with overactive bladder, a condition that affects an estimated 33 million men and women in the United States.”
  4. Crossed Eyes and Lazy Eyes – This was a first for Botox approvals back in the 1980s and 1990’s. According to Time, this disorder affects about 4% of Americans and is called strabismus, where the eyes do not line up in the same direction.
  5. Botox Cosmetics – Botox Cosmetic, botulinum A toxin can be used in the temporarily improvement of forehead wrinkles, lines, crow’s feet aka the appearance of moderate-to-severe glabellar lines.

Not FDA Approved

Although the FDA has not given the official stamp of approval to these, Botox is an unofficial solution that could be a consideration for those who suffer.

Botox Uses that are not fda approved

“Breakthroughs in medical technology continue to advance,” said Wigoda. “Much of what we are doing today in plastic surgery whether it’s surgical or non-surgical like Botox did not even exist 20 or 30 years ago.”

Dr. Wigoda Shares 🔥 Hot 2017 Plastic Surgery Trends

2017 Plastic Surgery Trends
2016 was a big year for comebacks and everyone was working the old trends in a fresh way like playing Super Mario Bros. on the Nintendo NES, sporting crop tops, and buying chokers… Now in 2017, we’re looking forward to seeing what resurfaces! Luckily terms like ‘phat’ are still out but when it comes to 2017 plastic surgery trends “fat” is definitely in!

Many patients come to Dr. Wigoda’s surgery center seeking liposuction for problem areas like their belly or thighs and are surprised to learn that they can use the fat removed from those procedures to help rejuvenate other areas on their body. While these areas may not have been a high priority originally, it’s ideal to do both plastic surgery procedures at the same time because once the fat is removed you can’t save it for reuse later.

You may not have considered using liposuctioned fat for fat transfers before but there are a few reasons Dr. Wigoda thinks this plastic surgery trend will be hot in 2017! Liposuction can be performed on many areas of the body but there are few that would warrant a fat transfer. These are some of the top ones!

Butt I hadn’t thought about that…

2016 was also a big year for rounder, fuller bottoms but did you know you don’t need butt implants to save a figure that may be falling or flat?

A Brazilian butt lift is an augmentation procedure that uses fat from liposuction to fill and reshape the butt cheeks and outer hips to help address sagginess, asymmetry, and more. The combination of removing fat from other areas like the abs, back, and thighs and adding it to the buttocks creates a more sensual and sexy appearance, not just from the back, but from the front and sides as well.

Fat + Facelifts = 😊

When it comes to facelifts, most people scoff at the idea of transferring fat because it seems counter-productive. You want to tighten the skin and muscles, not make your face rounder, right?

Wrong!

Combining fat transfers with face and neck lifts can actually make patients look even more rejuvenated and youthful. Faces typically thin with age and with decrease in weight and you may even lose fat through atrophy. Facelifts on their own don’t necessarily bring that back but when fat transfers are added to cheeks, nasolabial folds and marionette lines in addition to traditional facelifts, they create an even more youthful appearance.

Whether or not one of these 2017 plastic surgery trends are on your to-do list, why not call Dr. Wigoda for a free plastic surgery consultation? It’s a new year, let’s renew you.

Liposuction Tops Charts as Most Searched Plastic Surgery Procedure in Florida

most-searched-plastic-surgery-procedure-2

Miami, Florida ranks among the top cities for the amount of plastic surgery procedures performed, behind only Beverly Hills and San Francisco. Although they’re on different sides of the country, it’s not odd that both Florida and California are home to the cities with the highest number of plastic surgeries… both locations boast celebrity homes, great nightlife and entertainment, beautiful beaches and more. Keeping up with appearances is simply a lifestyle choice, but which plastic surgery procedures are Floridians flocking to maintain their flawless features?

You might think that Brazilian butt lifts and lip injections that mirror the Kardashian and Jenner sisters’ appearances are high-ranking but here plastic surgery patients are looking to subtract, not add, and liposuction is the most searched plastic surgery procedure in Florida.

Most Searched Plastic Surgery Procedures by State

Warmer weather year-round and access to beaches are definitely one reason why liposuction tops the charts in Floridian’s plastic surgery research but when it comes to liposuction, there is a lot more than meets the eye and plenty of reasons to consider opting for this procedure that has been around for more than 30 years.

liposuction in florida

First, liposuction is the perfect solution if you’re looking for ways to remove stubborn belly fat but it’s not only for troublesome tummies! Liposuction can also remove deposits of excess fat from specific areas of your upper or lower body, face or neck.

In addition to your belly, consider streamlining your flanks or love handles, back, and – on some men who struggle with gynecomastia – chest. Liposuction can also be used to assist in an arm lift, or, if your trouble areas are on the lower body, it can be used to define your inner and outer thighs, buttocks, and even calves and ankles!

Removing and sculpting fat around your chin and neck area is also a fantastic way to restore your youth if you’re feeling self-conscious but aren’t ready for a face or neck lift at this time.

Additionally, Floridians may be researching liposuction because it’s efficient and cost-effective! While liposuction is never recommended as an alternative to healthy diet and exercise, when done together, it only helps to amplify your results with less time commitment. On average, liposuction can cost between $4,500 and $7,500. Liposuction not only guarantees results but success motivates success so you are more likely to continue working harder to maintain your progress after healing from your plastic surgery procedure.

Remember, when it comes to liposuction, just removing excess fatty deposits does not guarantee the ideal appearance you may be looking for. The judgement and experience of your plastic surgeon is crucial so be sure to schedule a free liposuction consultation with Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Dr. Paul Wigoda today, or, if you’re interested in learning more about liposuction, be sure to watch this video where Dr. Wigoda discusses various types of liposuction and the different techniques and technology that are available today.

How Social Media Influences Lip Injections

social media influence on lip injections

The duck face was born the same day someone discovered the Myspace mirror selfie. Although it may seem silly and everyone has definitely seen their share of people doing it wrong, the “duck face” and variations of people puckering their lips in photos is actually quite brilliant as it creates the illusion of more defined bone structure and acts as instant lip injections.

Now we’ve come a long way since the bathroom mirror selfie and now sharing on social media video outlets like Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook Live, Periscope and more make it difficult to capture that perfect pout… Just try talking while pouting! As live video on social media has taken off, so have lip procedures which are the second-fastest growing facial procedures in the United States since 2000 according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS).

Data doesn’t lie, trends are showing that social media influences lip injections and Dr. Paul Wigoda thinks this is why.

Selfie Smile Symmetry

Lip injections don’t have to leave you with an iconic pout like Angelina Jolie. In fact, your plastic surgeon’s goal should be to complement and enhance your facial features, not create a cartoonish look like Jessica Rabbit.

Many men and women are looking to enhance their smiles in a way that looks as natural as possible and the best looking lips aren’t always the fullest. Lip injections can do more for you than simply adding volume as fillers allow you to alter the size and shape of your lips and can make your face more symmetrical. People often think that facelifts, eyelid lifts and Botox are the way to go for dramatic results but are quite surprised after they see how much lip injections can define and change a person’s face, even if it’s a subtle difference.

The Non-Permanent Pout

If you haven’t had plastic surgery before but are looking to make a change, your lips are a great place to start as it’s not as dramatic as some other plastic surgery procedures but can still make a big difference. When it comes to lip injections, many of the options are temporary or reversible so it feels like less of a commitment.

Temporary lip injections and fillers allow you to alter your smile for just a few months at a time before wearing off. You can either come back every few months to maintain your lips or simply choose not to. Regardless, it’s a temporary way to try out an all-new look with minimal recovery time!

In the age of the video selfie, lip injections are a great way to make that pout picture-perfect. You can change the shape of your lips as subtly or as dramatically as you want and, depending on which procedure you opt for, you can always go bigger the next time you come in for injections. To help determine which procedure and shape will help enhance your face, schedule a free virtual or in-person plastic surgery consultation with Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Dr. Paul Wigoda today!
