Plastic Surgery Research, Reviews, and Reputation

Florida plastic surgeon reviews Dr Wigoda

It’s no secret that plastic surgery is increasing in popularity thanks to celebrity influencers such as Kim Kardashian and reality shows like Botched; however, not all plastic surgeons deliver A-list results or critically acclaimed reviews. The American Society for Plastic Surgery reports that Americans spent over 13.5 billion dollars on combined surgical and nonsurgical procedures in 2015, up 13% from the previous year. Overall, the number of plastic surgery procedures have increased by 39% in the last five years.

Plastic Surgery False Confidence

The increase in plastic surgeries might indicate an equal increase in confidence about plastic surgeons; however, this isn’t always the case. There are still a number of precautions that must be taken when selecting a plastic surgeon and deciding on a specific type of plastic surgery procedure.

Really Botched: A Plastic Surgery Procedure Gone Wrong

One Miami woman tells a story of her experience that should make us all think twice before choosing a plastic surgeon without doing the research first.

Crystal Heath, a work-out fanatic, went to Dr. Omulepu for liposuction and a Brazilian butt lift. She lost more than 100 pounds and wanted to reward herself with a plastic surgery procedure.

“I had lost a lot of weight and in the process, I lost my butt as well,” Heath said.

Heath went under the knife for a butt lift on February 15th, but the doctor ended up giving her a tummy tuck instead.

She scheduled a butt enhancement surgery with a plastic surgeon who was known for his “Brazilian Butt Lift” surgery, and went in for the plastic surgery procedure. Unfortunately, when she woke up, she found herself having undergone a tummy tuck instead. Additionally, she was treated very poorly and ended up in the hospital with numerous infections. Luckily she survived, but was traumatized from the experience.

You Don’t Have to be a Kardashian: Choose the Right Plastic Surgeon

Some plastic surgeons do not secure the proper certifications that make them competent surgeons. These certifications ensure that physicians receive the proper training and help raise confidence levels for patients. This gives them security knowing that their doctor is well-trained and qualified. If you are considering going under the knife, it is important that you choose a plastic surgeon that has proper certifications and licenses, with a trustworthy reputation.

Positive Plastic Surgery Reviews Help You Choose

While the stories of plastic surgeries gone wrong are everywhere, one place you won’t find them is in Dr. Paul Wigoda. He has taken the time to ensure that he is not only competent, but is also excellent at making sure that people are treated very well. One can see from the vast number of positive testimonials that he is well respected, has comforting bedside manner, and takes his job very seriously.

In contrast with the story of the traumatized Cathy Heath, who vowed never to have another cosmetic procedure again, consider this online review by a satisfied plastic surgery patient:

“In picking a Cosmetic Surgeon for the first time around I made a deadly mistake. I chose another doctor in Miami Beach that I knew on a social level and almost lost my life. Red flag number one! A surgeon should be judged on skill, experience, bedside manner and especially compassion. And Dr. Wigoda has all that, plus more. I was lucky enough to have Dr Wigoda brought in on my case. Not once but twice he has saved my life! I definitely give him a rating off the charts!!!!”

It’s important to make sure you choose a doctor who will treat you well AND is qualified.

Drwigoda plastic surgery google reviews

Online reviews and social media sites such as Google+ have made it possible to research and educate oneself. When considering permanently altering your body, take the time to know who you’re entrusting with your life. Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Wigoda prides himself in his technique, compassion, and education as his five-star reviews indicate:

Karoline L.:

“Four years ago I had a breast augmentation with silicone implants and I absolutely still love my breasts. I went from a B-Cup to a D-Cup and can’t express how thrilled I am about this procedure. Dr. Wigoda did an absolutely amazing job to keep my breasts looking natural, and my scars are hardly noticeable. He is a great Dr. He listened to my wishes and concerns, and took his time to carefully inform and advise me about my procedure. Even post-op he made sure my recovery was going well and took his time to address any questions I had afterwards. I am very happy to have had my surgery done with Dr. Wigoda and would do any other surgeries with him in a heartbeat.

I also chose Dr Wigoda for my Juvederm lip augmentation and Botox injections. He injects just the right amount to have my lips looking plump and gets rid of the crow’s feet, yet I am still looking natural.”

Vincent Burburan:

“Was able to watch some of his work as a student. I have watched/shadowed a lot of doctors, however he left an everlasting impression on me. Doctor Wigoda is a master of his craft, very professional, and has great bedside manner. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good Plastic/Reconstructive surgeon, as well as a hand surgeon!”

A Google User:

“Dr. Wigoda is the best! Last year after a significant weight loss, I decided to go for liposuction and breast augmentation procedures, I had them both done at the same time. I will never regret my decision as I feel great with the way I look now and I am motivated to maintain my weight down. It never crossed my mind that at 54 I was going to feel and look better than ever before in my life. Dr. Wigoda and his staff were amazing, I will always refer my friends and family to him!!”

Rachel Weissler:

“I truly relied a lot on the testimonials online when I was searching for the right surgeon to do my breast augmentation. I’m happy to now be able to contribute to those testimonials! Dr. Wigoda and the whole staff were amazing throughout the whole process. I get so many compliments, and I love being able to brag about how painless the experience was… :)”

Brandy A:

“When I finally decided I was going to get implants, I did all the normal online research and narrowed it down to Dr. Wigoda and two others. After three consultations I decided to go with Dr. Wigoda because I have two little ones. The “painless implants” were a HUGE plus and he was the only one that really took his time during the consultation. He went over options with me, the different sizes and profiles and seemed genuinely interested in making sure I could get the look I wanted. The other two were great, but they seemed like a generic consult where they just went over the risks and basics like they do with everyone who comes in. The personal attention made me feel a lot more confident. From there on out everything was super easy! They were able to work with my schedule and get me in pretty quickly. During the pre-op appointment we finalized sizing and they made sure every question I had was answered.

The day of the surgery I got to the office at 8 and by 8:15 the anesthesiologist was doing his thing. A couple hours later I was up with a new set of big and beautiful breasts. The procedure went smoother than I could have hoped for. I went home and was able to rest with minimal discomfort. From the time I got home through the next three days there was a lot of pressure and tightness. It was uncomfortable, but never painful. I was able to stay home and watch my four-year-old the very next day without a problem and was completely off pain meds by the 4th day. I have to admit that I was pretty skeptical about the whole “painless implant” thing, but not once through the entire process would I have ever considered myself to be in pain. Pressure and tenderness, but never pain.

I’m three weeks post-op now and am in LOVE with my breasts. I couldn’t have asked for a better job, doctor or staff =)

*on a side note, the office manager Marie is super nice! Every time I had a question, she had an answer. She was really good at walking me through everything that needed to be done and made things as easy as possible. I’m also one of those people who get SUPER nervous at doctors and actually get shaky. She went above and beyond the day of the surgery to keep me calm. =)”

Natalia H.:

“I always wanted breast augmentation and researched doctors between Broward and Miami for several months before I selected Dr. Wigoda. His reviews and his resume were the most impressive and when I went in for my consultation, I saw just how affordable the surgery was. Dr. Wigoda was very personable, professional, and knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions as did Marie at the front desk. He detailed all of the risks and benefits of both saline and silicone implants and asked plenty of questions as to what type of look I was going for. Dr. Wigoda and Marie were very meticulous in making sure I followed all the proper pre-op procedures to minimize risk of any complications. My goal was to have natural-looking implants. I went from a small B-cup to a full D-cup and my breasts look AMAZING! That was almost 7 months ago and I couldn’t be happier. I would not only recommend him, I would definitely go back for any other surgical procedure.”

Making the Right Choice in Plastic Surgery

It can be scary to consider going through plastic surgery, especially when you’re putting your life in someone’s hands that you probably don’t know very well. You should always do your research before choosing a plastic surgeon. Vaginal Rejuvenation: Is It Time For A Touch Up Down There?

dr wigoda

Can you believe that According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the number of patients undergoing labiaplasty, or surgery to trim the lips of the vagina, rose 49 percent from this year to last year. Which begs the question, when is it okay to consider vaginal rejuvenation? Is it time to tidy up your downstairs?

Board-certified South Florida plastic surgeon, Dr. Paul Wigoda, MD’s labiaplasty and vaginal rejuvenation plastic surgery procedures, are quickly becoming a popular subject of controversy among women and plastic surgeons. Women in today’s society are under constant pressure to conform and mold to societal expectations for how their bodies are suppose to look and respond. With this increased pressure as well as advances in medical technology, it’s no wonder procedures like these are becoming increasingly more popular.

5 Health Reasons for Rejuvenating The Vajayjay

While some argue procedures such as labiaplasty and vaginal tightening are simply plastic surgery procedures, plastic surgeons argue that they can also be used to treat a wide range of medical conditions such as sexual dysfunction and damage to the vaginal canal from pregnancy. Some other common health reasons for fixing up your vajingle (we are rapidly running out of names for vagina, hang in there) are:

  1. Bowel or urinary tract issues
  2. Trouble keeping in tampons
  3. Internal and external stretching causing pain
  4. Decreased sensation of friction
  5. Incontinence

Make sure you speak to your plastic surgeon if you have any of these issues, and see if labiaplasty or vaginoplasty can either lessen your pain or get rid of it altogether!  Surgeries such as this, according to Dr. Wigoda, are often “safe, effective, and relatively quick.”

Another important thing to remember if you have any of these issues is that they are not uncommon, and many women of all different shapes and sizes go through the exact same thing! There is no need to be embarrassed or ashamed girl, trust me, I’m more embarrassed writing this than you are reading it!

Is Purely Plastic Surgery Right or Wrong?

Now this is the area where the debate gets tricky, is vaginal rejuvenation for cosmetic purposes okay? Is it okay to glam up your kitty cat just because you want to look fabulous?  With society constantly injecting this idea of what is “normal” is it okay to get a plastic surgery procedure just to improve the aesthetics of your vagina? After all, breast augmentation such as Dr. Wigoda’s painless breast implants, can be a purely aesthetic surgery that is continuing to gain popularity among women today!

Dr. Wigoda and many other surgeons say “YES!” As long as it is your choice and you firmly believe vaginal rejuvenation or vaginal tightening can increase your happiness, confidence, or even sexual gratification, that is a completely valid option. Remember you are in control of your own self-image! Find a plastic surgeon that is dedicated to making you feel the most comfortable and confident version of yourself!

Plastic surgeons such as Dr. Wigoda encourage you to speak with an experienced plastic surgeon, read reviews, and ask questions to assure which plastic surgery procedure is the best fit for you.

The Five Minute Facelift: Dr. Paul Wigoda Injects His Opinion

five minute facial plastic surgery dr wigoda

Sex, emails, to-do lists and….facelifts. There are many things you can do in five minutes, but what about a five-minute facelift? The search for painless plastic surgery continues as the Today Show recently featured a weeklong series all about plastic surgery trends and one of the segments caught board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Paul Wigoda, MD’s attention; the five-minute facelift.

Be Back in Five Minutes, I Have to Get a Facelift. What?

As we age gravity sets in, even in our face, and some of us begin to look for ways to regain more definition in our cheeks without surgery. Plastic surgeon, Dr. Brian Glatt appeared on The Today Show to perform what he calls a five-minute facelift live on the air using a new filler approved by the FDA called Restylane Lyft. According to Glatt, the procedure is said to lift immediately and add volume to your face with the help of fillers and without the need to go under the knife.

What Is the Five Minute Facelift?

It’s basically a pumped up filler. Restylane Lyft, formerly known as Perlane-L®, is an injectable hyaluronic acid gel used to correct volume loss and treat wrinkles in the face. It is the first and only FDA-approved filler indicated to provide a lift to cheeks and add volume to correct and smooth smile lines (nasolabial folds).

“It’s a newer brand of fillers, different than filling lines or little areas,” said Dr. Glatt. “These fillers are very powerful. [The fillers are] dense, they’re rich, and they’re capable of just really filling and giving a robust difference in a very short period.”

Dr. Glatt told Hoda Kotb that the five-minute facelift lasts for two years, is completely reversible, has minimal side effects and is more powerful than traditional fillers.

So what’s the catch?

The Art and Science of Five Minute Facelifts

“I did not really see anything new in the segment” said Dr. Wigoda. “The only thing the doctor did was fill up her cheeks. I thought they were actually overfilled relative to the rest of her face”.

So is the five-minute facelift the next best thing?

“To use the term facelift is a stretch. A facelift does much more than filling the cheek area,” said Dr. Wigoda. “I personally wound have used the product in other areas of the face as well, like the nasolabial folds. I think she looked a little swollen rather than refreshed at the end. In addition, because the body starts breaking down fillers as soon as they are injected, I would be surprised if the effects of the product will last two years. Here is a good example for the consumer to be wary of claims made by companies or their spokesperson. In my experience, the benefits of a product in the cosmetic industry are often exaggerated. It is always best to ask the opinion of your own doctor.”

7 Tummy Tuck Recovery Tips: Exercise, Sex, Nutrition and More!

TummyTuckRecoveryTipsDrWigoda

A flat stomach is one of most desired physical attributions, but the reality is sometimes exercise is not enough.  Between the years 2000 and 2014 the number of abdominoplasty, or tummy tuck plastic surgeries, performed rose 87 percent, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

While a large majority of tummy tucks performed are for cosmetic purposes, there are some health benefits that can be gained from the surgery. Some of these benefits are urinary incontinence, better posture and ventral hernia correction.

Because of the rise of tummy tucks; the risks are often forgotten.

Board-certified Fort Lauderdale-based plastic surgeon, Dr. Paul Wigoda, MD offers seven tummy tuck recovery tips below.

7 Tummy Tuck Recovery Tips

1. Push it…Push it Real Good!

Rent a recliner for a week with a push-up button. It lifts up and makes it easy to get out of the chair. Family Rentals offers recliner chair rentals.

2. Create Your Post Plastic Surgery Space.

Set up a table beside your bed with water, medicines, a clock and other essentials before your plastic surgery. Creating this space will prevent you from having to get up and down to retrieve items you need.

3. RX Planning.

Plan ahead and talk to your plastic surgeon about the possibility of having your medication filled up before you leave the plastic surgery center. You can have your spouse or a person of support pick it up while you are in recovery. Making a chart for each of the medications that you need to take will prevent you from forgetting or taking too much.

“We usually give the patients their prescriptions at their pre-op visit a week or two before surgery so they have plenty of time to get them, not the day of surgery,” Dr. Wigoda said.

Dr. Wigoda Tummy Tuck Recovery Tip Walk

4. Steps to Tummy Tuck Recovery Success.

Get up and walk three minutes, four-to-five times a day. Getting up and going to the bathroom would count.

“I recommend patients walk after a tummy tuck because it decreases the risk of complications such as Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT,)” Dr. Wigoda said.

DVT is a dangerous condition that causes blood clots to form in your legs.

“Clots in your legs can travel to your lungs, that’s called a pulmonary embolism (PE). PE can make it hard to breathe, in fact, if the clots are large enough, it can kill you. The clots in your legs don’t make it hard to breathe, it’s the clots in your lungs. The risk of DVT and PE after tummy tuck is very small, but it has been reported,” said Dr. Wigoda.

5. Let’s Talk About Sex.

Dr. Wigoda says no to sex for at least a week after your tummy tuck. It is important to allow your body to heal after an invasive plastic surgery procedure such as a tummy tuck; so even though sex is safe after a week, strenuous positions should be avoided.

6. Bind that Tummy.

Make sure you wear the compression garment that Dr.Wigoda gives you for the first two weeks of your tummy tuck recovery. Wearing the garment allows the perfect amount of pressure on the surgical site, which helps speed up healing. It also helps with swelling and fluid buildup. “My doctor really stressed wearing the compression garment to get the best results,” a former tummy tuck patient said. “He said some doctors don’t do it but it really helps with getting the good shape. I wore it even longer than I think was required – besides it felt better.”

7. Keep it Light.

Eat only light foods and snacks. You don’t want to eat anything high in sodium for the first week because it can cause bloating. During the second week you’ll feel like eating a bit more normal, but your stomach won’t be ready. Make sure to eat plenty of protein and fiber and don’t forget to stay hydrated by drinking six to eight glasses of water daily!

Total Recovery Time: Recovery for a tummy tuck is between four to six weeks, depending on the patient.

Dr. Wigoda brings his patients impeccable surgical techniques, an artist’s aesthetic vision and is an advocate for patient safety and plastic surgery standards.

An Inspirational Story of a Plastic Surgeon and Breast Cancer Survivor

Without luck on her side, she relied on faith, family, and newfound angel, Dr. Paul Wigoda, MD.
Immerse yourself in this heart-wrenching true story of pain, loss, and triumph, an inspiring tale for anyone who has ever been affected either emotionally or physically by breast cancer.

breast cancer survivor marcia beaird dr wigoda

In May of 2005, this breast cancer survivor underwent a routine plastic surgery procedure with a plastic surgeon in Miami, unaware of what would follow.  Forty-eight hours after the surgery, she was attacked by a flesh-eating bacteria which had spread to all of the areas she had her plastic surgery procedure. She was rushed to Broward Health suffering miserably, as over 60% of her skin was irreparably damaged; she was in agony, on the verge of death.

Dr. Paul Wigoda, MD was called to treat her. He emergently took her to the operating room, and had to remove most of her skin and fatty tissue in her trunk and thighs to remove the dead infected tissue and stop the infection from spreading further. Due to the massive infection which had spread to her bloodstream, her heart stopped twice during the operation but miraculously, she was brought back to life and survived the night. She was induced into a coma for three months during which time she underwent multiple surgeries to remove more skin and then replace it with skin grafts.  She then had to learn to walk all over again, while searching for a reason to go on, amid excruciating pain, significant deformities, and crushing medical debt.

Dr. Wigoda saved her life and supported her on a grueling path to normalcy. Unfortunately, her trauma wasn’t over, and he would have to save her again. Two years after her trauma, her breasts became enlarged, swollen and painful, from the steroid treatments she required to keep her going as her new skin adjusted.  To ease her pain, Dr. Wigoda scheduled her for a routine breast reduction, but to his dismay, found cancer during the surgery. Less than six weeks after hearing the new diagnosis, she underwent a double mastectomy, with Dr. Wigoda performing follow-up reconstruction.  She had walked a difficult path, losing most of her skin and both breasts, but by the end of 2008 she had new breasts in place and was cancer-free, having overcome every obstacle in her path.

History tells us the most notable winners usually suffer heartbreaking obstacles before they find triumph.  They won because they refused to be discouraged by defeat and instead found courage, strength, and character.  – excerpt from her book

And she had many defeats!

Here are words to live by:

We can choose every day which attitude we’ll use to embrace that day. We can’t change the past, the only thing we can do is play with the string we have and that’s our attitude. I’m convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. So it is with you to always be in charge of your attitude no matter what comes to you.

Let this heroic woman’s true-life miracle of survival, faith, and inspiration be the reminder we need for this October’s Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Let’s remind each other to:

  • Get frequent check-ups,
  • Research a trustworthy doctor,
  • Remember there are always bumps in the road,
  • But we can persevere with a strong balance of life, support, and positivity!

Painless Breast Implant Surgery: Dr. Wigoda’s Patient Chronicles Life After Plastic Surgery

breast implant testimonial

After breast implant surgery, board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Paul Wigoda conducts multiple follow-up interviews with every patient to ensure they have the best results possible.

In fact, he has an entire YouTube playlist devoted to painless breast implant surgery testimonials!

While these videos help new patients understand what to expect after plastic surgery, one patient went a step further and decided to chronicle life after painless breast implant surgery by blogging about her experience.

Breast Implant Surgery FAQs

Some common questions that this blog will shed some light on include:

For answers to these questions and more, please read the summaries below or visit the original blog, here.

The Healing Process Begins – One Day After Breast Implants Surgery

Just one-day post-op, this patient sang her praise about Dr. Paul Wigoda and staff.

“I was extremely comfortable throughout the procedure,” the patient began. “When I got home I had some tightness in my breast, but after I took my prescription and ate, I felt completely fine and woke up fine.”

At the end of the video, she raised her arms (remember, this is the day after surgery) and said “there is no pain, it was great!”

See more of her one-day post-op testimonial in the video below.

No Pain, Yes Gain – Three Days After Breast Implants Surgery

Two days after her initial post-op appointment, our patient reports that she is completely able to raise her hands above her head with “virtually no pain” in her chest. She does, however, explain that she has upper back and lower neck soreness as a result of “adding five pounds to [her] front.”

On day three, she was able to take a nice walk around the neighborhood but continued relaxing and using a heating pad. She also began feeling soreness around her incisions but could not feel her nipples or the skin around them at that time, which Dr. Wigoda explained was normal.

“All in all, I’m feeling great!”

Feeling Good But (Im)patiently Waiting – Three Weeks After Breast Surgery

At three weeks, nipple sensation had returned ever so slightly; however, the new breast implants had not fallen into place.

“I’m an extremely impatient person, so I’m DYING for them to ‘fall and fluff’!” our patient exclaimed.

She continues describing her sensations and explains her decision to wear a sports bra to bed although Dr. Wigoda has given her permission not to. At this stage, massaging wasn’t necessary so she scheduled another follow-up appointment to learn light massaging techniques to help the breast implants move to the center of the chest for a natural looking cleavage.

It’s Time, Start Massaging – One Month After Breast Implant Surgery

“For a little update on how they feel? They’re still very sensitive but not as much as my week three post.”

At this stage, plastic surgeon, Dr. Wigoda recommended doing breast massage techniques that push the implants to the center and up from the sides. This technique will allow the breast implants to center better as they continue to fall for the next four-six months.

“Whew, my Plastic Surgeon is the best, check him out!” – One Happy Patient!

GoodBye Sports Bras – Two Months After Breast Implants Surgery

To try to outlast the test of time and because she was worried that gravity would take effect and her procedure would not look good for long, our patient was persistent about wearing sports bras. However, in order to speed up the process of letting the implants drop, Dr. Wigoda recommended she “bare it all” for the time being so she could see her results.

In this post, our patient shares photos of her scars after using a new cream and how her implants look in a T-shirt and sports bra.

Patience is a Virtue – Three Months After Breast Implant Surgery

More photos in this post!

Our breast augmentation blogger and patient reported that one breast has fallen into place and is perfect, but she has concerns because the other is still high.

Spoiler alert: She won’t be disappointed for long!

This post contained a lot of informative updates such as:

  • She lost feeling in her nipples and is now experiencing her first “nerve pains”
  • Scars are disappearing at this time
  • After the first bra shopping trip, she officially has a new bra size and discovered how weird push-up bras feel with implants. Fortunately, she won’t be needing those any more.

They Look GREAT – 1.5 Years After Breast Implants Surgery

“My breast augmentation was the best decision that I’ve ever made! They look GREAT!”

A little bit of patience goes a long way and our patient has reported that her breasts have completely dropped, fluffed and look amazing.

After describing her phenomenal results, Dr. Wigoda’s painless breast implants patient signed off with some final advice.

“I cannot stress this enough…please, go to a real doctor. Not a clinic.” she wrote. “My dearest friend is using my doctor, Dr. Paul Wigoda, to fix a $9,000 mistake she endured in a clinic.”

“When I looked online, I saw that Dr. Wigoda had a painless breast implant surgery and I read all of the reviews and everyone said he was a fantastic doctor. I had to go to him. My self-confidence has skyrocketed,” she concluded.

So there you have it, a firsthand account of major milestones after her painless breast implant surgery. Hopefully her experience has helped answer some of your breast implant plastic surgery questions or concerns.

3 Important Questions to Verify Your Plastic Surgeon’s Credibility

Dr. Wigoda 3 Questions To Verify Your plastic surgeon credibility

With a drastic rise in the popularity of Plastic Surgery sweeping the nation, there has been a consequential rise in doctors willing to perform the procedures. NBC reports that doctors, some even dentists, are taking weekend certification courses to learn how to perform procedures that dermatologists and plastic surgeons take months to perfect. In fact, some of these cases are performed without the patient’s knowledge.

We followed the story of Stephanie, a new grandmother who went to her family doctor and received a botched facial shot to get rid of a red spot on her face. The result was disastrous and left Stephanie with a large open wound that required extensive treatment. When NBC confronted the family doctor about the incident, the physician claimed other doctors were just upset with him because he was taking prospective patients away from them. Hoping to get our own opinion from a board-certified plastic surgeon on this subject, we asked Dr. Paul Wigoda, MD for his input.

Wigoda explains, “It’s the usual comment made by people who do shoddy work when other doctors criticize them. It appears that this doctor did sclerotherapy on a facial vein. Sclerotherapy is usually done only on lower leg veins. The fact that he did not know this speaks volumes about how little training he actually has.”

Plastic Surgeon Experience Checklist

It is absolutely crucial that before selecting a doctor for plastic surgery, you do extensive in-depth research on who will be operating in you. We have created a plastic surgery checklist of some of the most important factors you should ask any plastic surgeon whom you are considering jumping into an operating room with:

1. Ask to see prior work.

Cosmetic surgeons will often have prior work posted on a website or readily available to show you what they have done. Make sure you see visual images that can let you know this doctor can safely perform and deliver what you are expecting.

2. Read Reviews!

Especially in this day and age, reviews are a great way to get a realistic expectation of the plastic surgeon you are considering. Dr. Wigoda has worked with a large amount of his patients because they claim to have loved the reviews on his site, which have made them feel at ease. Reviews are often unbiased and very honest and written by real life people who have undergone a procedure.

3. Ask for Proof of Certification.

Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon Dr Wigoda AAAASF Plastic Surgery Center

You want your plastic surgeon to be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery as well as have hospital privileges in at least one hospital! Also, make sure the facility is certified, professional, and up to date. To learn how, check out this blog post on our AAAASF safe plastic surgery center.

Plastic surgeons and dermatologists study and practice for years to safely learn and perform Botox, chemical peels, lasers and much more. Do not get scammed or caught off guard by a doctor who has taken a weekend course or two. Your body is a temple. Remember you have to live with it for the rest of your life, don’t let others treat it as less. Research, research, and research some more!

Q: What made you decide to take the plunge and go for the breast implants?

A: I love my body but I’ve always had super small boobies, and when I started working out extensively they got even smaller….THE HORROR!!!  I’ve been debating the whole boob job thing for a few years, but I hadn’t found a doctor I felt totally comfortable with, until I met Dr.Wigoda. After my first consultation with him I was SOLD!!!  I’ve thought about this long and hard, and I’m just ready to feel as confident out of my clothes as I do in them…

Q: What were the most important factors to you?

A: Definitely credentials and qualifications, not to mention quality of work!

Q: Why Dr. Wigoda?

A: Credentials and qualifications….have you seen this guys resume?!?! When I saw “Chief of Plastic Surgery” at a level 1 trauma hospital…I was like, “that’s my Doctor”!!!

Q: Have you decided on a size?

A: When I  first came in I was nervous about going too big, but Dr. Wigoda took the time to show me an array of before and afters and of course let me try on all the different sizers and I realized what I thought sounded BIG really wasn’t, so long story short, Ive decided to go with 485cc’s…( I’m currently an A cup even though Victorias Secret lets me think I’m a “B”)

Q: How long have you been considering this?

A: Years….SERIOUSLY!!!

Q: If you had to describe your style, what would it be?

Equal parts street and sass and sophistication and class!  I like to incorporate a little bit of everything into my wardrobe and style. I’m all about that Fit-Life so I love my yoga pants and work-out gear, but I’m also a City girl so I love to rock a sexy but sporty look…snap-back caps, crop tops, jeans…and sometimes I trade in my denim for a more sophisticated business look, you know, high-waisted wide-leg slacks with a blazer, but ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS have to have my STILETTOS!!!

Q: Who is your favorite celebrity?

A: J-Lo…but I love Sofia Vergaras Body!!

Now for the question everyone is asking, how big will Kimmy go? And what size do YOU think she should get? Two things are for sure, we think Kimmy looks marvelous whatever size she decides to adorn and DJ Laz is pretty excited…

Breast Implants with Benefits! Dr. Paul Wigoda’s Painless Breast Implant Patients Tell All [TESTIMONIAL]

breast implant benefitsCan breast implants be painless? People are often surprised that breast implant patients travel to Dr. Paul Wigoda’s Fort Lauderdale, Florida practice from all over the United States and beyond. Why didn’t they stay local? Was it worth the travel costs? This patient from Philadelphia wanted a highly recommended plastic surgeon with experience to make the procedure as painless as possible for her breast implants. She was excited to share that all of her requirements were met and Dr. Wigoda’s signature Painless Breast Implant procedure added three more unexpected benefits in this testimonial.

Expectations. Set. Match.

Painless Breast Implants. “It tells it all, the name is self-explanatory,” the patient shares.

After reading countless testimonials and noticing Dr. Wigoda came ‘100 percent recommended’ by past patients, our Philadelphia patient’s interest was piqued.

So was the procedure as painless as everyone said? You be the judge. Only six days after her breast augmentation procedure, this patient is full of energy, giggling and smiling about her experience!

“The testimonials said they didn’t have any pain and everything was about painless breasts, and that’s what I wanted, painless breasts, and that’s what I got!”

After her breast augmentation procedure, the patient reports waking up without feeling any pain in her breast, was able to raise her arms and claims everything was great. Dr. Wigoda’s Painless Breast Implants procedure clearly met her expectations, but she got a few more surprises that made traveling for augmentation all the more worth it.

Unexpected Benefit of the Painless Breast Implant Procedure

1. Raising Your Arms

Most breast augmentation patients should be able to lift their arms enough within a day or so that they can style their hair, for example. What this patient didn’t expect was that she would be able to do so comfortably. Some doctors recommend waiting 7-10 days before returning to work, but many of Dr. Wigoda’s patients, like the woman in this breast implant testimonial was able to drive herself to her follow up appointment the day after surgery and was back to her nursing job within a week.

2. Washing Yourself

You have to be careful washing after any surgery and must follow your doctor’s recommendations as to how long to keep the incision area dry and how to care for it. This patient was aware that she could bathe after surgery but was very surprised that she was able to do it on her own, expecting that the pain or discomfort would keep her from being able to do a thorough job.

3. Going Out on the Town

This patient had surgery on a Thursday and had a great weekend out of the house. Many people believe bedrest is the only road to recovery after a surgery but she was feeling well enough to, in her own words, “get out of the house, went out and had dinner, went about life and had a good time and good weekend.”

When asked to compare her experience to the reviews she read, the patient responded that “everything was accurate and truthful and the staff are great. I highly recommend Dr. Wigoda.”
