Up at 8:30am feeling like a new person, just two days after my painless breast implant surgery. I’m thinking why didn’t I do this five years ago? I know why…life is busy and I was afraid of the downtime, little did I know it is actually a treat to be forced to be in bed and relax!

This weekend was turning into a much-needed R&R retreat in addition to getting my new breast update version 2.0.

Watched an old rerun of Disclosure with Michael Douglas and Demi Moore – she definitely had some breast implants for that movie! Don went to the gym, came back and picked me up for a quick lunch at Guanabana, to hang out on the boat for some fresh air.

Looking in the mirror I feel a like my implants are sitting high and swollen, but from what I hear and read that is totally normal. I have not been able to look at myself in the mirror naked, it seems weird. Laying here now with a bag of frozen peas on each breast for swelling. Tomorrow morning is first day back at work and my check up with Dr. Wigoda. Don headed back to Orlando, so I am solo tonight. I realize as I write this how much I spent relaxing and also…shopping. I bought into a Cindy Crawford skin care infomercial, some back to school hair ties for Kennedy from Maxwell Aesthetics on Taigan.com and a pair of Steve Madden boots for my next conference. All from the comfort of my bed!

Day After My Painless Breast Implants at Apple Genius Bar

Waking up the day after breast implant surgery I did not expect to be pain free, but I was… (and just a little swollen). Slept in until 11:00 am, what a treat! Starbucks was the first request, I must be getting better. I just lounged in bed working and playing on my Mac. Making reservations, changing addresses, deleting old pictures and enjoying a day with nothing on my agenda except: relax… Dr. Wigoda’s orders after painless breast implant surgery!

I did not need to take any pain pills all day until around 5:00pm, started feeling a little pulling and tightening, very minor.

Don came home from the gym and felt like venturing out to the Apple store for a quick visit to the genius bar. I called Dr. Wigoda and he said as long as I was up to it and not driving, no problem.

So I took a light shower and decided not to blow-dry my hair, I would get my hair blown out at the mall at Regis, a cheap treat. Made me feel human again.

Visited with Apple store genius bar and then off to a quick bite at Seasons 52. Back home lounging again and watching Saturday Night Live happy to not have an agenda for tomorrow again!

5:30 am

Waking up was a little surreal. I’m scared and anxious, but I think I figured out why. As a Type A (aka Control Freak), I will be out of control when I go under the anesthesia. Driving down to Dr. Wigoda’s Fort Lauderdale office in the rain.

8:00 am

Check in to Dr. Wigoda’s on @foursquare, of course! A pregnancy test confirms I am NOT pregnant, thank you very much. In the prep room the Wigoda plastic surgery A team gets me dressed for surgery in style, IV in, and whatever they are telling me is not registering because I can’t think straight. With Navah and Don as my support team, how could I go wrong? Navah captured the YouTube moment while Don filled my meds.

8:30 am

Dr. Wigoda comes in to tell me I need to make a decision on size. I’m nervous to be too big, but decide on 370 cc (the bigger of my two choices).  According to everyone at The Aesthetics Institute, 90% of breast implant patients wish they went bigger, the other 10% are ok with size, nobody wishes for smaller. So why be the first? I go with bigger.

9:00 am

Surgery table in sight, trying to get those last text messages in on iPhone, kisses to my boyfriend and Navah. Will I wake up to see them again? (random thought running through my head) So if I die, at my funeral the whisper would be: How did she die? Answer: On the operating room table getting breast implant surgery. This is so anti-me, I decide God would not let that happen.

The Wigoda “A” team ask me what kind of cocktails I like, I say cosmo, they start the IV and I’m out. Anesthesiologist Dr. Paul Rodriquez makes the perfect cocktail!

11:15 am

I hear someone softly saying “Lisa.”  I open my eyes and feel such a sense of relief that I am alive, I look down at my chest, I think ‘ok, nothing crazy’, looks good. I feel emotional and want to hold everyone’s hand. Nurses Erica, Rocky, Lucy could not have been more comforting, like my new BFFs! By 11:45 I was back in my Juicy tracksuit and in the car on my way home (Don in the driver seat).

1:00 pm

I am in no pain, just feeling groggy from the anesthesia. I eat a Jello, some chicken broth and take my prescribed pills of pain killers, steroids, muscle relaxers and antibiotics. I feel like I can talk on the phone and text, but Don says I shouldn’t because I won’t remember anything. I am super thirsty and drink tons of water. Dozing in and out of Oprah, Rachel Ray and Dr. Oz seems like a nice break from social media networks.

4:00 pm

I ate some chicken and salad and have been walking around a little. I can even walk up and down the stairs and get out of bed myself! Dr. Wigoda just called to check in with me. He said keep lifting my arms every hour, I’ll be following doctor’s orders!

8:00 pm

Nurse Don’s (my boyfriend) shift ends, he feels so good about me feeling good; he is off to the gym and I am off to Twitter!

Painless Breast Implant in some Juicy Couture!

So, the countdown begins…just 24 hours before my painless breast implant surgery with Dr. Paul Wigoda in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

A million questions that I can’t believe I never thought of are running through my head. What if I don’t wake up from the anesthesia? What if the electricity goes off in the middle of surgery? What am I supposed to wear? Can I drink a glass of wine or three the night before?

Then I get a text from my boyfriend. He asks: “Do you want to go to the baseball game in Tampa next Tuesday?”

Is he serious?

I’m like WTF????

I’m having surgery tomorrow and he is thinking about next week’s baseball game?…I’m having breast implant S-U-R-G-E-R-Y! How much does he really love me?

Then I realized, I’m being psychotic.

Reminder to self: Dr. Paul Wigoda is the best plastic surgeon; I could not be in better hands, literally. I call Karoline, one of Dr. Wigoda’s painless breast implant Size D pros. She told me all my feelings are normal. Karoline said to wear a Juicy Couture outfit and all will be fine. Cheers!

I’ll have the small 34C please, make that silicone with a slight lift, light on the pain and no bleeding. Instead of my Starbucks check-in @foursquare, I’ll be checking in to Dr. Wigoda’s office on Friday morning for some painless breast implants.

Getting lift and cleavage beyond compare…like no Victoria’s Secret bra can do.  That’s why my friend Maria is jealous! Comparing “body” notes with my mommy friends like Maria, we all agree: kids are great, but they sure can take a toll on the body!

I am sooooo ready to see my Plastic Surgeon friend and blogger Dr. Wigoda on Friday morning in Fort Lauderdale! My breast implant surgery is a must-have…I mean push up bras look sexy only as long as you are wearing them! What’s more fake, a good bra that you eventually have to take off or some awesome breast implants?

After having a mind-erasing day at my Ob-Gyn, getting more tests done and being sent home with prenatal vitamins, the call comes at the end of the day: “Sorry, it must have been a lab error, you are not pregnant!” my doctor tells me.

I go straight to a bar and order a tequila shot. Tomorrow is a new day; my breast implant surgery with Dr. Paul Wigoda is back on. So is my cruise in December. So is my boyfriend’s vasectomy.
